Alfred Stieglitz

Alfred Stieglitz is noteworthy in history because he dared to be different in the way that he took pictures that made a statement and showed what was going on in the world. He made an impact on those that looked at his photos and forced others to look at life in a different way. His photos were of American changing in the way that it he captured the urbanization, and industrialization of his time period. 

Aside from being beautiful I chose this photo because I think that it shows how he captured what was changing in his new life in America. I also love the fog throughout this picture. 

O'Keefe was Stieglitz's wife after divorcing his first wife. She was a painter and wasn't very famous when they first met, but he helped her take off by putting some of her paintings in his studio. They wrote to each other very often and had an undying love for many years. They both proceeded to do what they loved but still had each other in one another's hearts.
