Who Where When Why

My little sister Jessica against a wall in my room at night using my lamp as lighting

I wanted her fist to be out of focus with a black eye showing that aside from her black eye she is willing to fight through. 

 I took this to to focus on her big eyes and a contrast between the sheet made it more dramatic and i wanted there to be  texture in the photo

 I wanted play around with the options I had to make the picture "pop" and she ended up loving the paint on her face so we had a lot of fun with it. 

 I took this one because I wanted to capture her not looking directly at the camera

 This one was not on purpose but I was able to get it right before another shot she was ready for. I like this one a lot because i think that it looks really cool. 

 I feel that this one captured exactly the way she it. She is always laughing and I got the shot mid laugh

 I wanted to get a contrast between the lighting on her face and I feel that it turned out well

I wanted her to have a serious picture. 

I wanted to make a dramatic picture and I think that this one looked nice

Beauty

         Beauty is simply the satisfaction or pleasure someone gets after looking at a photograph. In photography it is the ability to portray something to be pleasing or intriguing to the eye. I think that in a good picture something "ugly" can easily be seen as beautiful because through the lens of a camera photographers are able to show the beauty in any ugly aspect of life by showing it in a different light.
